Cosy minimalism: North Zealand (Denmark)

4 October 2011

This idyllic little house in the North-Eastern Denmark belongs to designers Marianne Tuxen and Morten Langebæk. The owners have decorated the house themselves trying to blur the boundaries between the indoor and outdoor spaces, aiming for comfort and elegance in the interior design.

The feature wall of vintage illustrations and posters contrasts beautifully with the fresh fabrics of the sofa and cushions. Wooden floors, large windows, light and airy spaces, wooden vintage furniture, simple and functional = cosy and minimalistic. I love it.

The house is set in a forest with a private lake at the bottom of the garden. Does it get any better?

  2. We both love them too! I hope one day we'll have a house as well designed as this one. The balance between cosiness and elegance is perfect.
